Requirements
- The candidate should have a job seeker validation code received through an online application
- Candidates should have proof of funds to financially support themselves and their families in Yukon
- Full-time and Permanent job offer from a Yukon based employer
- Should have the intention to settle and live in Yukon
Skilled Worker Program
Any skilled worker who fulfils the requirements are invited to immigrate through this program alternatively, any Yukon employer can sponsor skilled workers from abroad to get PR. Any skilled worker who fulfils the requirements listed below are invited to apply under this program. Alternatively, a sponsorship from a Yukon based employer is necessary.
Requirements
- Should have educational and work experience in NOC levels 0, A and B
- Must have at least one year of work experience in their respective fields
- Should have valid work or education permits
- The employer must be paying the applicant the same standard wage as they would pay to a local employee
- Employers must pay the travelling cost of the hired worker
Critical Impact Worker
The critical impact worker stream is a good fit for semi-skilled or unskilled occupation workers.
Requirements
- At least high school educational qualifications from Canada, or an equivalent abroad education
- At least 6 months of work experience in NOC 0, A and B
- Should have valid work/study permit
- Must be able to prove either English or French language proficiency and attain the required score(s) in the proficiency test (IELTS/TEF)
- Employers must pay the travelling cost of the worker
Business Nominee Category
A person who wants to invest in Yukon for business purposes is welcome to immigrate through the business nominee program.
Requirements
- The candidate must score at least 65 points on the nominee assessment grid
- They must score at least language level 6 in the IELTS/TRF tests
- The candidate should have at least 5 years of business or entrepreneur management experience
- Must invest a minimum of 50,000 CAD, and have at least 300,000 CAD net worth
- The intention of living and settling in Yukon
