Requirements for the Canadian citizenship

Here are some of the factors that are considered for citizenship:

Age is one of the most important factors for applying for Canadian citizenship. The primary applicant must be over the age of 18 to be considered for Canadian Citizenship.

Before applying for citizenship in Canada a person must have to be a permanent resident of Canada. Make sure that your PR status is not on hold or review. Usually, you need to be a permanent resident of Canada for at least 3 years before applying for citizenship. However, this requirement could be different depending on your circumstances.

You must live in Canada for at least 1095 days over a five-year period before applying for citizenship. However, this rule is not mandatory for crown servants and people under the age of 18

To apply for citizenship in Canada, a person must not have any criminal records in Canada or outside of Canada.. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in your application being rejected.

If you are a formal citizen of Canada and want a country citizen then you also have to follow the same procedure and if your citizenship has been taken due to any fraud or reason then you will not be able to apply for citizenship again.

Canada is very strict on corruption and tax. Hence you have to show your tax proof of at least 3 years during the 5 years. So that they can see whether you follow the rule of the country or not. Only if you have paid all the necessary taxes of the country then you'll be able to get citizenship of the country.

It is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of the country including basic rights and responsibilities, voting laws, etc. Once your citizenship application is approved, every applicant over the age of 18 is required to pass a citizenship exam prior to getting your Canadian Citizenship.

Canada has two official languages: English and French. If you’re 18 to 54 years of age on the day you sign your application, you must show that you can speak and listen at a specific level in one of these languages. To become a citizen, you need to meet the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 4 or higher.
